Gorilla Mission

Identify launched it's Mountain Gorilla project with a "Books and Boots" Mission.

We took our first trip to Rwanda in November of 2009. Click on the gallery below for photos from our trip.

We're currently seeking donations and sponsors to supply the park rangers and veterinarians of Rwanda with boots and supplies to continue their patrols to protect the mountain gorilla from poachers. This is an ongoing project providing support for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, Mountain Gorilla Veterinary Project as well as other organizations.

Donations are also assisting with medical treatment for sick and injured gorillas. We're also gathering books and educational materials related to gorillas and chimpanzees to distribute to schools surrounding the gorillas habitat. We hope to help educate locals regarding the importance and fragile state of the species and work against the bush meat trade.

THE MISSION

We've been personally distributing the "Boots and Books" to ensure their delivery. Check the blog regularly for project updates, photos and videos of the trip, and profiles of the gorillas that your contributions have helped in an immeasurable way.

Sponsor a pair of boots for the park rangers or veterinarians for $35 or donate to the book drive for the kids.

MOUNTAIN GORILLA FACTS
